Norman 1441. - First edition in English of a classic text on hydraulics, translated by Newton's Huguenot protegé, the ingenious experimenter John Theophilus Desaguliers. Henry Beighton was a friend of Desaguliers and assisted him in preparing his 'Course of Experimental Philosophy', as well as in such practical affairs as the ventilation of the House of Commons.
