Engraved map XXIIII only, c. 300x345 mm., dial plate on paper, with charming decorative border including figures, birds and animals, lightly browned particularly in centre where previously folded, few small tears at edges affecting border, framed and glazed. ----

Very scarce; one of a suite of eight from Ritter's Speculum Solis published in Nuremberg in 1609-11, in which the plates were intended to be used as sundials and have therefore rarely survived.
